I like creating "deceptively simple" artwork - I love clean lines simple shapes, but I also love deeper meaning revealed after a closer look.

In the same way that you can look at Japanese designs and see "more" there than first meets the eye. I love to create works that, if observed closer, start to reveal more - more composition, more meaning and in some cases more humor.

Art needs to be fun sometimes. Humor is its own inspiration and "art" can often be perceived as to serious. Consider yourself warned -I love a pun!

Suffice to say that Mr. Scanlon has had an interesting and varied career that has taken him from being an internationally award winning commercial and fine art photographer to Founder Chairman / CEO of an Australian public company.

Mr. Scanlon has also had his own regular radio broadcast, in addition to being a designer, creative director, Director of Interactive Marketing and Chief Technology Officer not to mention a professional glass artist.

As the founder of Fire-N-Light Mr. Scanlon is a big proponent of collaberation and the effective use of the busnbiess of art in order to alow an artist more freedom to create it.
